Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

Taylors is happy to accept the following credit cards - Visa, Visa Delta, Switch, Maestro, Mastercard and Solo. Taylors use the services of Protx to process credit card transations. All traffic between Taylors and Protx is subject to 128 bit encryption and no member of staff from either company has access to your credit card details.

Shipping And Handling

When you buy from Taylors Fancy Dress you have the choice of three methods of postage.

Royal Mail 1st Class

This is the standard 1st class service from the Royal Mail. 95% of packages arrive next day but this service has no tracking and items cannot be reported as missing for 14 days. Items posted by 1st class post are only insured for £32.

Royal Mail Special Delivery.

This is a guaranteed next day delivery from Royal Mail. 99.9% of packages arrive next day (Monday - Friday) delivery is not guaranteed on a Saturday. Items are insured for £500 and the service is fully tracked.

Courier - City Link

This is a next delivery service from City Link. The cost is just £7.50 per order. The package is fully trackable and tracking information is available online from www.city-link.co.uk. Your package will arrive before 17.30 the day after it is shipped.

We are sorry but this service is only available to mainland UK address. (Sorry North Ireland is not considered as being mainland UK by City Link.).

Taylors Fancy Dress aim to dispatch all orders within 48 hours of receiving the order.

Note - Requesting an item via Speical Delivery / City Link does not mean that we will be able to dispatch it on the day of ordering. It means that the Post Office / City Link guarantee to deliver it the day after we post it.

Delivery Schedule

We aim to post all items the next working day after you place your order.
Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Tax Charges

For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added.

Returns Policy

At Taylors Fancy Dress we know that there is sometimes a need to return a item. However before returning an item for whatever reason please contact sales@taylors-shop.co.uk and request a returns form.

A returns form asks for all the information we need in order to process your return. All items returned MUST have a returns form or we will be unable to process the return.

The item must be without damage or use and in a suitable condition for resale. All packaging must be included and must not be damaged. (this includes header cards being folded).

We aim to process all returns within 14 days of receiving them. However during October and December returns will not be processed until the following month. (ie a return received on the 15th October will not be processed until sometime during the first 14 days of November).
